Sunday March 6th – Peas + Pods Returns!

Peas + Pods Family Market returns to Dublin Food Co-op on Sunday the 6th March from 11am to 5pm.

After a disappointing end to 2010, with the cancellation of our Christmas Market, we have been busy putting together a great day for our first market of 2011, with a real variety of stalls and events to entertain and delight!

So, alongside the 30+ stalls, delicious food, drawing wall and play areas, March’s Market treats include;

Niamh Sharkey – We are thrilled to have Niamh at a Peas + Pods stall!
She will be doodling Doodles to order and selling some paintings of her wonderful critters.

Baby Wearing Ireland
will be holding a sling meet in the morning.
Between 11.30 and 1pm, Peas + Pods will play host to a variety of sling and wrap encased Mums, Dads, babies and toddlers! Baby Wearing Ireland is a non-profit organisation which helps promote and educate others about the benefits of baby wearing. Sling meets are held regularly around the country, where families can try out different slings and meet other baby-wearing families.

A Glór Gospel Choir will be singing live from 1pm until 3pm.
This all-female  gospel and inspirational choir are finalists in RTÉ’s An Cor series. With all proceeds raised from their performance at Peas + Pods being donated to Barnardos, we would love you all to come along with family and friends, enjoy the singing, and support Barnardos too.

The Elbow Room will run  several Mini Jam sessions during the day, at 12pm, 3pm and again at 4pm. This class for toddlers and parents uses movement, dance, music and song to help develop children’s balance, co-ordination and understanding of rhythm and beat in a really fun way.
Each of these market special sessions will run for around 20-30 minutes. As space is tight, these Mini Jam mini-classes will be limited numbers wise, and spaces will be offered on a first-come-first-serve basis. Get there early enough to register for your class!

There will be so many stalls to browse on 6th March, why not check out Our Stallholders page for previews of who will be there.

Come early to avoid missing out on something you’d really love to have, or come late and see if you can bag a bargain as we all pack up.

See you in two weeks!

Featured Stall – Seomra Cuddles

All who attended our launch market will have spotted Seomra Cuddles fantastic novelty beds. Designed and manufactured in Dublin, these beds are 100% Irish made.

In lots of different colours, and a variety of car shapes, they would make a really unique feature in any childs room. The batman one is awesome!

About Seomra Cuddles

The transition from cot to bed can sometimes be an unsettling experience for both parent and child. For this reason we designed these fun beds to help the child look forward to bedtime and encourage independent sleeping.

Our core aim to provide families with our unique range of beds which are designed to last the test of time while making bedtime an adventure for the little ones. We are confident they will get a restful nights’ sleep and will be refreshed and ready for a new day ahead. They are built to suit from toddler to approximately ten years old.

Featured Stall – Mayfly

Mayfly are one of the first stalls we picked for our inaugural market. With a selection of vibrant fair trade clothes and cool playthings, we covet Mayfly’s finds for both ourselves and our kids. We know you’ll love them too.

We’ve included some info below, but to really appreciate Mayfly you’ll have to visit the market on Sunday 3rd!

About Mayfly

It is a true hidden gem of Dublin, nestled in behind Camden Street away from the hustle and bustle of the village quarter. The shop in Pleasants Place is a retreat from the modern way of shopping, no harsh lighting, and no blaring music, just a relaxed atmosphere with the chance to chat and shop for everything your heart desires.

Raised from the dust that was Daintree paper shop in a previous life, Kylee and Courtney have not only managed to give it a new lease on life but they have created a retail space that has a heart.
